Mayer Hawthorne - The Walk (Explicit) ft. Rizzle Kicks
Monday mornings, and basically mornings in general, can really be the handicap of the day. We all have those non-exciting days that seem to be endless. A good start can really give you the energy needed to survive. (:
This morning I was all cheerful and lively, I wish every morning was like that! I'll share my Tips&Tops with you to make a good start and get through the day!
--
Start your day with music! Music can solve really any problem. Choose music that gives you energy, or makes you feel good, as alarm. Since a few days I'm totally addicted to this song on the top of this post, it probably made my day this morning. (:
If you play an instrument yourself, play it in the morning! Most of the days I play piano before leaving for school. Just a few minutes will help you relax and keep your thoughts organized.
Make sure you pick your outfit and pack your bag the evening before. This saves time, since you don't have to spend a minimum of an hour in front of the mirror. Trust me, I'm experienced! (;
If you have the first few hours off, go for a run! You'll be happy with yourself, and no matter what the day brings you, you've done something useful already! Oh, and don't forget the extensive shower you've earned!
Plan nice things in your free time. This way you have something to look forward to all day.
Take your time! If you have the habit of having a lack of time in the morning, just set your alarm 10 minutes earlier! These 10 minutes won't make you feel more tired. In stead of running late you'll now be able to enjoy a proper breakfast Which is really my favourite meal of the day, is that strange? and have a cup of coffee or tea.
Smile! Walk out the door with a huge smile, and never stop smiling. No one likes to be outside in the cold at 7.00 AM, but mornings could be so much more fun when everyone smiled at each other! WheneverI feel shittie a simple smile from a total stranger can really pep me up, why not do the same for others? (:
I'm turning in now, my mother bought me a new mattress so I'll be sleeping like a baby! (: I hope these tips are useful to you. What is your morning therapy?
Last Christmas, it's been a while now, I know! (; , I only had one big wish; The One Line A Day diary. I was the happiest person in the world when I found the diary under the tree on Christmas day!
The idea of this diary is simple; you write one line a day, for a period of 5 years. My whole life I've tried to keep up a diary, but in the end I always found myself being too lazy too write down all my experiences in full detail. I did however want to keep a record of all the most amazing experiences, one line a day would work perfectly. Ever since the 1st of January I've been writing in it!
Besides, the design of this diary is gorgeous, that only would have been a reason for me to buy it! You can order the diary here.
What do you think of this diary? Something for you, or are you rather a long-story writer? (; You guys are making my day by commenting and liking, thank you so much!
It's seriously irritating how weekends have this habit of passing by way to fast! My weekend in short: Friday evening I had to babysit, and I might have broken my smallest toe by playing soccer with the boys haha! On Saterday I did some more babysitting, my brother and I ordered pizza for dinner. Have you have seen how fascinating the pizza packages from DOMINO'S are? (; This morning I woke up early and had breakfast with my parents. I spend the day at the stables because my friend had a horse-jumping course. I do horse-riding, yes! This evening we visited my grandmother in Amsterdam and had dinner there.
Nothing special hea? But I loved it! I decided that from now on I'll post every Sunday a week-overview with one photo and one linea day from the past week! (:
Since I received so much positive and sweet reactions (thank you!) on my first Photography post about Norway, I had a look through all my other holiday photos this afternoon. Wondering if there was anything else just as interesting as Norway, and I think I succeeded! I took this photo's some years ago on a visit to Lesbos, a small (1,632 km2 only!) Greek Island. I haven't been in this country for a while, but seeing this picures makes me desirous! The old greek landlords, the cute villages and not to forget the pleasant temperatures. The atmosphere on Greek Islands makes you feel the perfect holiday & ultimate relaxing feeling. I hope I can convey a little bit of this feeling to you! (:
The cutest streets!

Wishing this was my front door! (;
Partytime on Lesbos! 'Open from 10.oo till late' lovely! (;
What a productive week I've had! I decided that my room was TOO pink tuesday, so I bought taupe-colour paint the same day. (for those who didn't know; taupe can be described as a greyish-brown colour) I had no idea paint is that expensive! o: . I thought it would be an impossible task to find a good date te paint my room, since I can't find time for anyting lately, but it wasn't that difficult at all! Yesterday morning I started moving everything aside to make the wall free. Together with my father's handyman-skills I managed to be done painting within 1 day!
That evening I put all my furniture back, and I even tidied up most of my room! You can see result above! It might sound strange, but I finally enjoy being in my bedroom again! (:
My room seriously got such an other look now that the pink wall is taupe. I personally think it looks more sophisticated, haha! What do you think?
I haven't told you yet, but I'm a huge fan of photoshop! I regularly use it to create or change photos. I always get a lot of positive reactions on my creations, so from now on I'll put them on my blog! (:
I made this 'flying' photo yesterday afternoon, wouldn't it be great if this wasn't a photo? (: I hope you like it!
When I walked out the door this morning, my father adviced me:
Laugh and smile a lot today Lil, it makes life so much more worth it!
I want to thank you all so much for commenting and liking my posts, you make my day! The blog is online for only three days, but I'm stunned by the amount of visiters already.
