Vintage market - IJ-hallen

A few weeks ago a cousin of mine told me she was going to visit the ~famous~ IJ-hallen in North Amsterdam. I'd never heard of it, but she was so excited! It's a enormous vintage market on a huge abanded industrial area in Amsterdam. I decided to join her, I love vintage!

That weekend was the last summer-edition of this year, which meant 700 (instead of the regular 500) outside stalls in total! It's insane how much stuff was exposed there, and I think 50% was below the price of 5 euro!

I didn't buy that much, but I was satisfied with my purchases! The (genuine) leather motorjacket from Mango was the buy that made my day. Or even my week! (; It's still in the Mango shops available for €99,95 - see! But I bought it second-hand (but looking as new) for only 15% of the original price! Wauw, I get excited all over again talking about it! (;

Silent World

I believe that one of the most beautiful things about a city is that there is life everywhere. You're never alone, and it's never completely silent. Have you ever imagined what a city would look like without people in it?

New Look

When I looked at my blog this morning I was incredibly unsatisfied by its lay out.  I decided to create something new straight away; which of course took way longer than expected! Anyway; I am IN LOVE (and oh so satisfied!) with my new header! What do you think of this new lay out?

You probably wonder why the word 'lovely' is so present in this lay out huh? Well, I just think it's a beautiful word that hopefully describes my blog! (;

Have you ever felt like you're  the happiest person in the world? Not just because you've just reveived the newest Ipad or something else material. No. The happiest person in the world because you feel accepted. Because you feel appreciated and because people respect you. Do you ever feel like you want to stop the time right here to enjoy the moment for just a little more time? Just because you're absorbing all kind of fantastic and new experiences, and the rollercoaster of life just won't come to an end? Do you ever feel like you could cry because of happiness, because you realize you've worked it all out pretty well? Have you ever experienced a week in which you fall asleep with a smile on your face every single evening? Have you ever felt like al the failures in your life aren't of any worth anymore?

This is how I feel right now, because the past 5 weeks have been so amazing! I wish I could put a little of this happy feeling in a jar. To give it to the people who deserve it, or to give it to the people who have never felt like this in their whole life.

quick summer update

It has been a while! I'm not going to say sorry for my long absence, cause I seriously hate it when other bloggers apologize for their absence. I do however feel like I owe you an explanation. The only reason why I haven't blogged for so long is just the lack of time. What I've been up to lately? I'll summerize for you;

5 weeks ago I finished my 4th year of vwo. After a few end-of-the-year-party's I went camping with 3 of my best friends near the Dutch Coast. After seriously one of the best weekends of the year, I could say I started off this holiday pretty well. During the next week I did nothing but relaxing. The next two weeks I spend in France with 2 of my best friends. I seriously had the time of my life! Right now I'm in the middle of summer camp for 4 till 13 year old kids, where I do volontary work as supervisor. I'm staying at family in Amsterdam for these 3 weeks, since this saves me at least 1,5 hour of travelling each day!

Enough about my perfectish summer holiday! I'll inform you about all that has happened véry soon!
